Essential Duties | Responsibilities
- Responsible for the washing and sanitizing of all food service utensils and miscellaneous items such as plates, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, etc.
- Responsible for assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the back of house area
- Operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies
- Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty dishes, glasses, etc.
- Return/restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing procedures are completed
- Comply with all safety and sanitation (including handwashing) guidelines and procedures
- May have additional cleaning duties specific to the restaurant
- Performs other duties as assigned
Salary position qualifications and certifications include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
- Obtain and maintain all state or municipality required Certification for Responsible Alcohol Service and Food Safety Training
- Get along well with others and be a team player
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- Experience with computer-based operating systems, including Aloha POS, Tock, & Ctuit
