Essential Duties | Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the washing and sanitizing of all food service utensils and miscellaneous items such as plates, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, etc.
  • Responsible for assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the back of house area
  • Operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies
  • Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty dishes, glasses, etc.
  • Return/restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing procedures are completed
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation (including handwashing) guidelines and procedures
  • May have additional cleaning duties specific to the restaurant
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Salary position qualifications and certifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
  • Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
  • Obtain and maintain all state or municipality required Certification for Responsible Alcohol Service and Food Safety Training
  • Get along well with others and be a team player
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • Experience with computer-based operating systems, including Aloha POS, Tock, & Ctuit
