Jonathon Court, Executive Chef of Davanti Enoteca’s Western Spring location, sees himself as the coach of a well-trained team. He is a firm believer that great chefs need great staff, and that entire teams need to feel empowered for restaurants to run smoothly.
An Illinois native, Court earned a culinary arts degree from Chicago’s Kendall College in 1999. Subsequently, he joined the opening team at the acclaimed Purple Pig restaurant. By 2012, he began his work at Davanti Enoteca’s flagship. Before he took over the kitchen in Western Springs, Court helped open Davanti Enoteca outposts in California.
The welcoming atmosphere at each location has the mark of Court’s culinary influences. Considering his heroes were his father and grandmother, it is no wonder guests are known to say they feel their meal is a truly intimate experience.
Court loves spending time outdoors with friends and family. During the warm-weather months, he enjoys camping and hosting afternoon barbecues.
