Chef Scott Harris, CEO of his namesake company and co-founder of Chicago’s iconic Francesca’s Restaurants, has established himself as one of the most prolific entrepreneurs in the Culinary Arts. He not only leads an ever-expanding empire of popular restaurant brands, but mentors a pool of prodigies that carry on his legacy of excellence in business and fine dining.
Harris first came to prominence in 1992 when he opened Mia Francesca, a humble Italian Trattoria built on his passion for authentic cuisine. It’s quaintly fresh qualities, in both atmosphere and taste, attracted a loyal fanbase, while its unpretentious pricing drew incountless customers.
Thirty-plus years strong, Francesca's proudly serves communities across Illinois with more than thirteen locations statewide. Harris also created the brand’s more contemporary cousin, Davanti Enoteca, another enduring favorite in the Chicago dining scene.
His ability to balance attention-to-detail, brand consistency, and neighborly flair has resulted in a close-knit, family-like atmosphere. He has also maintained a generous work culture that prioritizes promoting employees - from chefs to dishwashers - to higher positions within his company.
A Chicago native, Scott travels between his hometown and San Diego, where he lives with his wife and two children.
