Dan
Moody

Culinary Director | Francesca’s

Since his first job at Papa John’s Dan Moody has studied the ins and outs of the culinary world. His hunger for knowledge led him to the Technology Center of DuPage in Illinois where he learned everything from the culinary arts to baking, pastries, and even hospitality management.

Soon after graduating from Kendall College in 2011, Moody joined Scott Harris Hospitality at Davanti Enoteca as a prep cook. After jumping around from Davanti Enoteca to Taylor, Moody finally found a home at Davanti Western Springs as the official sous chef.

After dedicating a year and some change to Davanti, Moody worked with 4star Restaurant Group’s Remington's right on Michigan Ave, where he enjoyed a celebrity-like status by appearing on WGN’s Weekend Brunch segment and a virtual wine paired dinner with 93xrt. In 2019, Moody returned home to Scott Harris Hospitality but this time he was on the corporate side of things.

As a man of many talents, Moody has done it all at Scott Harris Hospitality, including taking over the whole North region of Scott Harris Hospitality restaurants. Following the successful opening of Vasili’s Moody is now the Culinary Systems Manager for all of the Scott Harris Hospitality locations and loves every minute of it.

In his spare time, Daniel goes back to DuPage to volunteer his time to the students as their mentor and teacher. Moody also helms the scholarship dinners and coaches teams for numerous competitions. Daniel believes in sharing his knowledge with everyone from students to guests and colleagues, all in a day’s work to help Scott Harris Hospitality grow.
